Deep BV Hydrography & Geophysics
Deep BV is a survey company in Amsterdam Noord, that maps the underwater world in all sorts of different ways, in all sorts of different places. From measuring the water depths in a picturesque river so the local water board can model the drainage, to mapping the shallow geology for an offshore wind farm out at sea next to Taiwan. From underwater explosives detection for port development to archaeological research on the Markermeer. With an all-electric inshore boat to offshore vessels that stay at sea for more than a week.
The people at Deep come from a wide range of backgrounds, ranging from mathematical or technical to hydrographic and earth sciences. These people are on board our vessels, they acquire the data or process and interpret it at our office. They maintain the equipment and take care of the vessels. We have highly educated people in all places within the company; working with datasets at the office, but also being on board, recording the data.
