SRON
SRON is het Nederlandse instituut voor ruimteonderzoek. Het ontwikkelt detectietechnologie en ruimte-instrumenten voor onderzoek naar het heelal en de aardatmosfeer. Als nationaal expertise-instituut adviseert SRON de Nederlandse overheid en coördineert het -- vanuit wetenschappelijk oogpunt -- nationale bijdragen aan internationale ruimtemissies. SRON's wetenschappelijke programma focust op de evolutie en geschiedenis van het heelal, op klimaatverandering en luchtkwaliteit op aarde, op de atmosferen van exoplaneten en op de ontwikkeling van detectietechnologie. Het instituut neemt deel aan verschillende ruimtemissies van ESA en NASA, zoals Sentinel-5p, LISA en PACE.
SRON is the Dutch institute for space research. It develops detection technology and space instrumentation for research in astronomy and earth’s atmosphere. SRON’s scientific program focuses on the evolution of the Universe, exoplanets and climate change.
